Surrounding ring

To ensure the stability of the disc and prevent its migration, a ring made of titanium alloy according to ISO 5832-3 is implanted and fixed on the upper vertebral body of the instrumented level. This ring surrounds the disc, while keeping the full mobility of the disc; but preventing its migration out of its implantation site, in the intersomatic space. This ring is fixed to the upper vertebral body with two cancellous screws in titanium alloy as well. A safety locking mechanism is provided and fits on top of screw heads to prevent their back migration and/or their unscrewing. It consists in a rotating button to turn to lock the screws. The ring is available in a standard size, adapted to standard discs, and in a small size, adapted to small
discs.
