MATRIS Locking Knob
MATRIS cervical plate is supplied with two locking knobs already set in the plate. Once the cancellous screws are put in place, the MATRIS locking knob is turned with a screwdriver and is properly positioned at the top of the screw heads independently of the direction of the screw. Its two tabs large head in largely covers the cervical screws heads without coming up against them. The knob has an anti-loosening system, by enforced embedding and crimping, which prevents their spontaneous rotation and therefore blocks the cancellous screws and prevents their loosening and their migration into the surrounding tissues. In case of recovery or change of screw preoperatively, the surgeon can use a suitable screwdriver to rotate the knob to its initial position.
