SOCORE

The SOCORE device, class IIb medical device, is a system of several implants (pedicle screws, rods, hooks, crosslinks and connectors) which are intended to be implanted and assembled on the spine via posterior approach in order to help achieve vertebral fusion between two or more vertebras. Spinal
fusion aims to reduce significantly and sustainably patient’s pain and disability. This surgery, performed by orthopedic surgeons or neurosurgeons on adult or children patients, could be conducted in the thoracolumbar or the cervical region of the spine.

Specific implants have been designed, developed and distributed by Novaspine for each of these treated areas. Medical indications,
contraindications, general adverse events, lifetime and safety measures are gathered in the IFU provided with the SOCORE system. Performance claims focuses on fusion rate, pain reduction and disability reduction, while safety claims concern screw breakage or loosening rates.

All the SOCORE products have been CE marked and implanted since 2006.
