Cervical Connecting Rods

Connecting rods are top-loaded in pedicle screws or hooks used to connect them together. These smooth cylindrical rods are tightened by the locking screw in order to stabilize the osteosynthesis system. Two different type of connecting rods are available:

Occipito-cervical rods are used to connect the osteosynthesis system to the occiput in order toenhance construct stability.
