ALMAS Locking Knob

The locking button is inserted on the counter bores provided for that purpose. The ALMAS ring is delivered with one pre-mounted locking button, crimped into the ring. Once the cancellous screws are put in place, the ALMAS locking knob is rotated with an adapted screwdriver, so it covers properly the screw heads independently of the direction of the screw. Its two tabs widely cover the cervical screws heads without coming up against them.

The knob has an anti-loosening system, by enforced embedding and crimping, which prevents its disassembly or its spontaneous rotation, and thus prevents screws from unscrewing and their migration in the surrounding tissues. Its rotation is always achieved with the adapted screwdriver, even for revision surgery, or intraoperative screw replacement.
